Celtic Harpist Gwenda Davies; Born of a Welsh father and English mother. Since her childhood years growing up in Sydney took an interest in Welsh culture and folk music from the British Isles. Her training in voice and piano, later harp, led to many performances of welsh folk songs with the celtic harp.
During the 1990's Gwenda was employed as a harpist for major hotels in the San Francisco Bay area, playing during the lavish Sunday brunch buffets at the top of the Mark Hopkins Hotel, San Francisco Cliff Hotel and the Berkeley Marriott.
In 1997 after spending several years in the USA Gwenda returned to Sydney completing her MMUS at UNSW in 2000. One of her highlights was performing as harp soloist at the Sydney Town Hall for 2 consecutive tours from the famous Welsh male voice Choir, Cor Godra'r Aran.
Gwenda continues to teach at the Bathurst Conservatorium of Music.
